I hope everyone had a very happy Easter! Jesus is risen!
As most of you know, my husband and I are Christians. So Easter to us is so much more than candy and Easter egg hunts! It’s the day we celebrate our Lord and Savior rising from the dead. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, Jon and I will teach our children the true meaning of Easter just like we will teach the true meaning of Christmas. BUT Jon and I also believe it’s okay to bring the excitement of “celebration” into holidays! So bring on candy, Easter baskets, Easter egg hunts, whatever! Also, all of our pictures were taken inside because it was so cold on Easter here in Virginia. Bo has been fighting a little cold so we decided to skip the egg hunt outside this year. I linked outfit details for Bo and I below, enjoy!
Bo’s Easter Basket
This year we went kind of basic for Bo’s Easter basket. We found this adorable basket at HomeGoods, I had to convince Jon that when you buy your child an Easter basket they will use it for years! So this is Bo’s basket for the next few years. Jon’s idea of an Easter basket were those plastic ones in grocery stores…. ah yikes hunny! We did go to the grocery store for candy though. We found plastic eggs and filled them with Jelly Beans and I found Lindor Chocolates in the shape of little eggs, we all are obsessed with those chocolates. As a parent you buy candy YOU like so you can eat it also, right?! Isn’t that like one of the best parts of being a parent???
A bunch of you asked about my Easter outfit! I actually went a little out of my comfort zone this year. If you look on my Instagram feed I have a very basic style. My go to color is black and I’m not one to wear a lot of skirts or super girly outfits! I’m trying to change that a bit though.
Note: I linked similar looks to my shoes and top. I found these shoes years ago, they are Steve Madden and I wear them anytime I want to dress up a bit. Love them! This top I found on clearance at TJ Maxx a little while ago, but I found a similar tie in the back top from Forever 21! I can’t wait to pair this top with high waisted shorts or flare pants. You can easily dress this shirt up or down!
I’m pretty sure his whole outfit is Old Navy… even down to the suspenders. When they have sales they really have sales!
Note: Old Navy is having a huge sale! An extra 30% off!!!
Would love to hear YOUR Easter traditions!!
